1. How is overtime calculated in UAE for normal working days?
For normal working days in UAE, overtime is calculated at 1.25 times the regular hourly rate. The formula is: OT Payment = (Salary ÷ 30 ÷ 8) × 1.25 × Total OT Hours. For example, if your monthly salary is AED 3,000 and you work 10 overtime hours on a normal day, OT Pay = (3000 ÷ 30 ÷ 8) × 1.25 × 10 = AED 156.25.
